Where did it happen?

The story begins with 80 year old Noah reading a story to a woman in a nursing home. But the story being told is set in the coast of North Carolina in 1946. Noah returns home and is working on restoring a plantation home. This is the town he met Allie 14 years before and where he will reunite with her, marry her and live a simple yet fufilling life with there family.
